Identifying Characteristics
- Confused Flour Beetles are elongated bugs, 3-4 millimeters in length
- They are most often found in and around stored food areas
- They are generally red-brown in color
- They do have functional wings but will rarely fly
- The Confused Flour Beetle antenna-end gradually widens vs. the Red Flour Beetles which ends in a 3-segmented club
- Unlike the Red Flour Beetle their thorax is straight

- Confused Flour Beetles are found indoors making them active year-round
