Identifying Characteristics
- Adult Centipedes measure between 1-6 inches in length
- They are light to dark brown in color with many legs making them appear hairy
Active Season
- Centipedes are active year-round when living indoors but most active during Spring and Summer
Interesting Facts
- Large Centipedes may bite if provoked, however, not with mouthparts but fang-like front legs
- They feed on other insects including spiders

- When Centipedes are found indoors it is often a sign that there is a moisture problem in the area
