Identifying Characteristics
- Adult Weevils are generally 2-3 millimeters in length
- They are easily identified by their long snout
- They are red-brown to dark-brown in color
- Usually found outdoors, but can enter your home and be found in cabinets, pantries or anywhere food products are stored, and prefer to feed on items with rice or grain
Active Season
- Weevils are found indoors making them active year-round
- Adults will live about 8 months

- It is estimated that there are over 1,000 species of Weevils in North America
